Overview

Solitaire is a private gateway to institutionally underwritten credit, reserved for a select circle of accredited investors who understand the landscape, value discretion, and demand excellence.

The company was incorporated in the Cayman Islands as a Segregated Portfolio Company (SPC). We currently hold a Category 3C license in ADGM.

Approach

We focus on special situations private credit strategies built for capital preservation and structured yield, emphasising senior-secured, asset-backed, and covenant-rich transactions. Deal terms and data rooms are disclosed exclusively to admitted investors.

Every transaction undergoes a rigorous credit, legal, and collateral review, applying institutional frameworks across underwriting, covenant design, and risk management. Underwriting led by ex- IBD professionals with over $5B in cumulative APAC deal experience.

Maninder Sabharwal

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Rhodium Capital, a boutique Private Equity firm headquartered in Singapore. With over 14 years at the helm, he has spearheaded M&A advisory and special situations financing across Southeast Asia’s financial services landscape. under his leadership, he has built and successfully exited Financial Services businesses in excess of USD 5 billion.

John Bright

John leverages over two decades of experience in Asia’s financial markets. His distinguished career includes 11 years at Morgan Stanley, culminating in his role as Head of Asia Pacific G10 Fixed Income Distribution, alongside other senior leadership positions in fixed income. John holds a Bachelor of Business from the UoT, Sydney, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Ankush Seghal

Ankush holds a BSc in Computer Science & Management, he began his career in retail and commercial real estate in London before founding fintech platform Try.com in San Francisco, enabling "Try Before You Buy" across thousands of US ecommerce stores. He turned his finance and real estate knowledge into a 150 unit residential property portfolio in the UK.

Sevriano Battista

LLB with Finance graduate from the University of Edinburgh with hands-on experience across funds, M&A, and investment portfolio management. Blending a finance and legal foundation, he now operates in private credit at Solitaire & Co., driving direct lending deals, asset-backed structures, short-duration bridge financing, and workout situations.

Christian Brehm

Christian is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience across financial advisory, infrastructure, property funds management, investment banking, and structured finance. He has executed over $10 billion in cross-border transactions spanning real assets, debt, and private equity. Previously with Deutsche Bank, SMBC, KPMG, and several fund management firms, Christian holds a B.A. in Economics and Law and an M.A. in Economics (Econometrics) from the University of Erfurt, Germany.

Tony Gu Tao

Founding partner of NGC Ventures. Former partner of Longstand Capitaland and Rhodium Capital. 10yrs+ of experiences investing across education, technology, financial services, blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Graduated from INSEAD and Tsinghua University and Nanyang Technological University.
